The Business Analyst ensures that business process and technology come together to improve business outcomes and provide solutions for the growing needs of our clients and our chosen market sector.  The focus of this role is on delivery of our software solutions, process modelling and challenging the status quo. This requires putting data at the heart of all processes and helping to build the Technology Solutions portfolio.

This is a technical, client facing role that requires understanding of different systems and technologies to drive through product leadership and change for our growing and ambitious Technologies business.  Working in partnership with our Development Teams to deliver a best in class solution.

 

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • BCS Business Analysis Foundation (essential) and Practitioner (desirable)
  • ISTQB Test Foundation (desirable but you should be able to demonstrate experience of test planning and execution
  • External Customer facing experience is essential
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to be able to capture, deal with and relay information to other colleagues
  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed
  • Must be organised with the ability to effectively prioritise and complete tasks in a high-pressured environment
  • Must have demonstrable experience of working with Agile techniques
  • Strong demonstrable experience of business process modelling and re-design
  • Advance use of all Microsoft office applications
  • Technical writing skills and experience highly advantageous
  • Full Driving Licence

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Delivery Manager is responsible for delivering all aspects of a software project lifecycle in relation to the services and software systems provided by Styles&Wood Technologies.

The job holder will be required to Project Manage, and carry out the delivery of, the services offered by the Styles&Wood Technologies Delivery team through analysing and detailing the customers’ needs for a solution, transposing these through configuration of the iSite Product Suite, to the deployment and mobilisation of the in-house solution within our customer environments.

In order to succeed in this role, the successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of project management and delivery of development software projects.
  • The job holder will be required to demonstrate strong project management, planning and control capabilities, strong customer engagement skills, experience in process, data and application analytics.
  • This is due to a significant part of the role centring on the conversion of customer requirements into configurable solutions from within the existing product suite, avoiding bespoke development.
  • Strong technical knowledge is essential with the job holder being familiar with internet technologies, database structure, software design and the principles of information and data management.

  • Prince 2 Foundation
  • Agile Methodology
  • Business Analysis Foundation

The job holder will be required to travel to multiple UK client sites, with occasional international travel, as required.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible and work in diverse ways to accommodate organisational needs. You will need to be self-motivated, committed and highly influential.

Under the direction of the Servicedesk Supervisor, the Application Support Specialist will provide system support to our client base, in relation to iSite, our Property Management software, and Arctick, our award winning Governance and Risk system. This support will range from defect identification and resolution, configuration changes and general queries to supporting our delivery teams in client deployments and software configuration.

The job holder will work with other members of the service team to monitor, log and own all types of incoming support requests, providing first time fixes when possible, and identifying where issues need to be raised through to the development team for resolution, whilst maintaining a high level of Client communication and improving the overall support experience.

As a minimum, applicants should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on a support desk where application support is provided
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • User testing techniques
  • Familiarity with internet technologies, database structure and the principles of information and knowledge management
  • Ability to communicate to peers and stakeholders in various forms including written, oral, statistical and reporting
  • An understanding of the following industries would be advantageous; Retail, Banking, Construction, Facilities Management, Property Management
  • Experience of dealing with external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of SQL databases and queries
  • Ideally the job holder will be ITIL V3 qualified
